First General Assembly of the Camino Medio Soto Zen Community
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, the first General Assembly of the Camino Medio Soto Zen Community (CSZCM) took place at the Murcia Zen Dojo.
Twelve members attended in person, with five delegated votes, resulting in effective participation of fourteen of the community’s current seventeen members.
The Assembly unfolded in a serene, respectful, and constructive atmosphere, supporting open dialogue and shared reflection. Throughout the day, key topics for the present and future of CSZCM were addressed, helping refine the organizational and community foundations of this new stage.
During the session, members unanimously approved the Statutes and Internal Regulations, ratified full members and affiliated centers, and discussed in depth financial and organizational aspects related to the community and connected dojos.
The exchange of perspectives enabled consensus-based agreements, taking into account both the sustainability of the shared project and the specific realities of each center.
Annual reports from the Secretariat, Treasury, and Communications teams were presented and approved; General Council roles for 2026 were elected; and the annual activities calendar was approved, consolidating a clear and shared structure for community life.
CSZCM highly values this first assembly, which marks a foundational milestone in its path as a Soto Zen practice and study community, and expresses gratitude for the commitment, care, and collaborative spirit of all participants.
