Camino Medio Soto Zen Community launches its new mobile app
The Camino Medio Soto Zen Community (CSZCM) has launched its official “Camino Medio” mobile app, now available for Android and iOS, to make access to Soto Zen practice, study, and community life easier through a simple and welcoming digital environment.
The app is designed as daily practice support for both newcomers and long-term practitioners. Its guiding principle is clear: to offer a stable, accessible, and non-commercial space where practice can be naturally integrated into ordinary life.
Main features include an online zazen room for shared distance practice, a meditation timer with bells and settings adapted to zazen, and an updated activities calendar with sessions, retreats, study meetings, and in-person or online events organized by the community.
Recent additions include mindful reminders designed as invitations to pause, breathe, and return to present experience throughout the day, and a personal practice journal, a private space where each person can record reflections and observations from meditation and daily life.
The app also provides access to study content, audio recordings, texts, and training materials, together with a growing Zen library and a dedicated announcements space to follow sangha life.
The “Camino Medio” app is free and ad-free. It is part of CSZCM’s commitment to a Soto Zen transmission that remains faithful to tradition, responsive to contemporary life, and open to everyone interested in deep and engaged practice.
