Komyo Zen Dojo Alicante

Komyo Zen Dojo was founded in 1989 in Alicante. In 2002 it was formally established as the Zen Association of Alicante, formed by practitioners and students of Soto Zen Buddhism, currently linked to Zen teacher Daizan Soriano.

What we offer

Zazen introductions: guided entry into seated Zen meditation.
Suitable practice environment: a quiet and stable place to practice the Zen Way.
Living spiritual tradition: support from a lineage-based transmission through qualified teachers.

Join our practice

Joining our community gives you orientation and support for a steady and meaningful Soto Zen practice. Under the guidance of Daizan Soriano and his disciples, you can deepen your practice within a long-standing spiritual tradition.

Change and awareness

The Alicante dojo is open to people who feel the need for deep inner transformation and sense that meaningful social change begins in consciousness.

The space exists for those willing to undertake the path of self-inquiry. Its purpose is to provide the conditions needed for Zen practice and for learning zazen with proper support.

Change is inevitable, and we each participate according to our possibilities. Our proposal is to engage from a perspective that goes beyond personal interests, grounded in the freedom and clarity cultivated through the Zen Way.

Friday: 20:00-21:30 (in person and online)
